Lions Storm Back to Defeat Eastern Oregon in Overtime

PORTLAND – Andy Brown gave the Lions a second half spark as the Multnomah University men's basketball team came back to force overtime against Eastern Oregon, downing the Mountaineers 93-86 at home on Jim Skagen Court.

GAME SUMMARY:
- Trailing 75-73 with six seconds left in regulation, Brett Blackstock drove the line, floating a layup at the buzzer to send the game into overtime.
- Justin Martin scored 13 points in overtime, including the first five points for MU.
- Back-to-back threes by Martin and Ben Grandle sealed the comeback win for MU.
- Eastern built a 12-point lead in the second half after ending the first half down 40-39.
- Brown ended EOU's scoring streak, hitting a quick three before continuing to score 15 of his 22 points in the second half.
- MU shot 44 percent from the field, including a 33 percent performance from three-point range.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Martin finished with a game high 30 points along with 10 assists. Following him was Brown with 22 points and Grandle with 20 points.
- Brown, Grandle and Stepan Zavydovskyy each collected eight boards.
- For EOU, Landon Jones finished with 20 points and a high of 19 rebounds.
