Seattle, Wash. – Northwest Track and Field started their season off with two athletes (Riley Sine and TJ Randle) competing in the UW Indoor Preview.

Randle ran in the 400 meter dash, finishing in ninth place with a time of 50.80 seconds. Head coach Mark Mandi commented, “Great start to the indoor season for TJ. He was sidelined all of the summer and fall because of an injury he sustained at the end of the track season this past spring. He’s an amazing competitor and it showed today.”

Sine broke the school record in the 3,000, finishing with a time of 8:28.87. Coach Mandi commented, “Really proud of Riley and thankful that God blesses him with the opportunity and health to race today. This was a great way to start off the season. He was disappointed with how cross country went and having to deal with his first major injury, especially since he had put in so much work over the summer. Even though he’s accomplished a lot over the past two plus years, this was his first school record so it makes today even more memorable.”
