The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period January 7-13.
Men’s Wrestling
Warner Pacific’s Cortez Rodelo has been named the Red Lion men’s Wrestler of the Week.
Rodelo, a freshman out of Aloha, Ore., was exceptional at the Boxer Open on Saturday, going a perfect 3-0 to win the heavyweight class. In between a couple of impressive wins over Adam Lamb (Umpqua CC) and Sina Ansuri (Clackamas CC), Rodelo defeated Christian Robertson of NCAA Division I Oregon State.

Men’s Basketball
Northwest Christian’s Austin Tyner has been chosen as the Red Lion men’s basketball Player of the Week.
One of the top scorers in the conference, Tyner averaged 22.5 points per game as the Beacons went on the road to pick up a pair of crucial NAIA Top-25 victories against CCC foes. The senior guard from Eugene, Ore. was outstanding in the weekend sweep, shooting 56.3% from the floor and going 5-of-11 from three-point range to spearhead the Beacon offense. With the wins, Northwest Christian jumped into a tie with Oregon Tech for second place in the conference standings, with the Beacons’ victory in Klamath Falls serving as their second since 1985.

Women’s Basketball
Jordan Woodvine of Corban has been named the Red Lion women’s basketball Player of the Week.
Woodvine notched a career-best 41 points on Friday in a road win over Oregon Tech, while also leading Corban to the upset win over No. 19-ranked Southern Oregon in Ashland the next day, pouring in 26 points to go along with 13 boards. She did all of this while shooting 56.8% from the field and 70.5% from beyond the arc. Sweeping the Oregon Tech/Southern Oregon road trip was a monumental feat for the Warriors, as it marked the first time the program won both games on the road swing since the 2010-11 season.

Men’s Indoor Field
Justin Gould of Eastern Oregon has been selected as the Red Lion men’s indoor field Athlete of the Week.
Gould, a freshman out of West Linn, Ore., hit the automatic qualifying mark to nationals in just his first collegiate meet with a height of 4.80 meters in the pole vault. His mark is the third best in Eastern Oregon history, and is tied for fourth in the NAIA this season. Gould finished third individually, with a pair of NCAA Division I competitors from Utah State being the only pole vaulters to best him.

Women’s Indoor Field
Eastern Oregon’s Kalulusno Ngaida has been chosen as the Red Lion women’s indoor field Athlete of the Week.
Ngaida, hailing from Aumsville, Ore., qualified for nationals in the women's triple jump in her first collegiate meet. The freshman hit a mark of 11.66 meters, not only ranking first in the NAIA this season, but also setting a new Eastern Oregon program record. She placed second individually in the event—only behind Boise State's Abigail Dargan—while besting several NCAA Division I athletes.

Women’s Indoor Track
Madison Glascock of College of Idaho has been named the Red Lion women’s indoor track Athlete of the Week.
Glascock, who is just a freshman, had an impressive opening meet at the Jackson’s Invite on Saturday. The two-sport athlete out of Twin Falls, Idaho finished as the top non-NCAA Division I sprinter in the 200 meters, claiming sixth overall with her time of 26.90 seconds.

Men’s Indoor Track
Northwest’s Riley Sine has been chosen as the Red Lion men’s indoor track Athlete of the Week.
Sine had a historic showing for the Eagles at the University of Washington Indoor Preview on Saturday. The junior from Spokane Valley, Wash. broke the school record in the 3,000 meter run, finishing with a time of 8:28.87 to place 37th overall, finishing ahead of a number of NCAA Division I competitors.
