Corban’s Woodvine Named NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) office named the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon, with Jordan Woodvine of Corban University earning the prestigious recognition.
Woodvine’s honor makes it the second-straight week a member of the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) has claimed top NAIA-performer plaudits, joining Eastern Oregon’s Maya Ah You Dias, who won the award last week.

Woodvine set a school scoring record in her 41-point performance during Corban’s road victory over Oregon Tech on Friday. Not done there, she then spearheaded the Warrior offense in the squad’s upset road win over No. 19-ranked Southern Oregon University, notching a double-double (26 points, 13 boards) to cap off Corban’s perfect weekend.
The two-game sweep of the Oregon Tech/Southern Oregon road swing was a significant accomplishment for the Warriors, marking just the second time the program had achieved the feat since 2010-11. Woodvine’s combined 56.8% shooting percentage from the floor and 70.5% mark from downtown were crucial in Corban’s crucial CCC triumphs.
The Salem, Ore. native has now earned three CCC Player of the Week awards, with this most-recent honor serving as her first-ever NAIA Player of the Week accolade. The CCC’s leading scorer (22.1 points per game), Woodvine will look to continue her success as the conference playoff race heats up.
