LA GRANDE, Ore. - The No. 13 Eastern Oregon women's basketball team grabbed its 16th-straight win with a home 79-64 victory against the Corban Warriors (13-7, 7-3 CCC) on Friday night at Quinn Coliseum in Cascade Collegiate Conference play.

The win improves the No. 13 Blue and Gold's record to 16-2 overall and an undefeated 10-0 in CCC play. It is now their 40th-straight CCC regular season win as well and the 46th straight win including CCC Tournament play.

Leading the team in points was senior guard Maya Ah You Dias, who recorded 27 points in 32 minutes. Ah You Dias also had a near double-double with nine rebounds to go with five assists, two blocks and a steal. Freshman forward Beverly Slater had a break out performance with 13 points and eight rebounds, one of her best games all around games yet. Junior Jane Nelson, senior Maren Herrud and junior Andi Warn also added their own points to the 79 with 10, 9, and 9, respectively. The Blue and Gold shot 33-for-70 (47.1%) from the floor and 9-for-23 (39.1%) on three pointers overall.

In the first half, EOU went 5-for-9 from behind the arc with two coming by Ah You Dias, two from Nelson, and one from Slater. While the Blue and Gold outplayed the Warriors in all facets, EOU's first half three point shooting was overpowering to the Warrior's own 2-for-7 on three point shots. The Mountaineers also sunk 50 percent of their field goals in the first half while the Warriors only managed to make 37 percent. The dominance was established from the beginning, showing that the Blue and Gold were not going to back down in their own house.

As the second half commenced, the Mountaineers were hungry for the 16th victory in a row. Outscoring the Warriors by just three points in the third and fourth quarters, the Mountaineers 37 points to the Warriors 34 called for a closer second half of game play. But, with a made three pointer by Herrud after an assist by junior guardEmma Logan, two made free throws by Slater, and another basket by Ah You Dias, the game was a sealed deal.

On Corban's side, Treasure Farmer led the Warriors with 13 points while Emily Yost and Jordan Rasberry posted 10 points. Yost had 13 rebounds, a high for both teams.

The Mountaineers host Northwest Christian Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and then welcome the College of Idaho on Tuesday to continue the second half of CCC play.
