For the second consecutive night, an Evergreen women's basketball opponent pulled away in the two middle quarters to pick up a Cascade Collegiate Conference victory.

Tonight, it was the Oregon Tech Owls who outscored the Geoducks by 25 points combined in the second and third quarters on the way to an 81-53 victory inside Costantino Recreation Center.

Angela Sikora was 5-for-8 from beyond the three-point line in scoring 24 points, Merrily Jones finished with 11 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks and Anna Cook ended the game with 10 points and nine rebounds for the Geoducks (0-15, 0-11). Sikora was 4-for-5 from distance in scoring 18 points by the halftime break.

Evergreen shot 30.4 percent overall (17-for-56), including 7-for-22 from beyond the arc. 

The Geoducks stayed with the Owls in the early going, and in fact took its largest lead of the game at 12-8 on a Sikora basket with 4:40 left in the first quarter. Oregon Tech scored the first four points of the second quarter, breaking a 20-20 tie, and took its first double-digit lead of the game at 33-23 on a Mikaela Shumaker layin at the 5:29 mark.

Abby Kreiser recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Owls, who points and rebounds from 10 of their 11 players in recording the season sweep of Evergreen. Courtney Clemmer led the Owls with 13 points, 11 of them coming in the opening 20 minutes, and she added seven rebounds. 

Oregon Tech shot 19-for-36 for 56 percent in the second and third periods and finished with 45.8 accuracy overall (33-for-72), including 5-for-9 from three-point range. The Owls had a significant 51-29 edge in rebounding and turned the ball over just seven times.
