No. 19 Southern Oregon Raids the Eagles’ Nest

Kirkland, Wash. – Northwest University (7-16, 4-9 CCC) lost to No. 19 Southern Oregon (14-5, 10-3 CCC) on Saturday night with a final score of 79-72.
 
At the end of the first half, Northwest found themselves down 34-28. With 2:16 left in the third, a free throw from the Raiders put them up by 13, their largest lead in the game. From then on, Northwest was never able to fully recover from their deficit, at one pint coming within two points after a three-pointer from Andie Kristinat.
 
Four different Eagles scored in double figures in the game, led by Sam Van Loo’s 18 points and Miranda Langenhorst’s 10 points and 14 rebounds. Mariah Stacona tallied five assists as well.
 
Northwest head coach Ken Crawford commented, “A great game by the lady Eagles tonight against the number 19 Southern Oregon Raiders. Very proud of the energy and the effort. We continue to learn and get better!”
