ASHLAND – The highest shot total Southern Oregon has ever recorded in a Cascade Conference game finally paid dividends in the second half against Multnomah, when the Raiders scored five times for a 6-0 victory in their home finale on Sunday at Raider Stadium.

Freshman Adrian Villegas assisted three of the second-half goals and sophomore Noah Addie finished two of them as SOU (10-5-1 overall, 8-2-1 Cascade Conference) made its berth in the eight-team CCC Tournament official with a week to spare. The Raiders are unbeaten in six straight and would be guaranteed no worse than the conference's No. 3 seed with one point in their final regular-season road trip to Evergreen (Wash.) and Northwest (Wash.).

They peppered the Lions (0-16, 0-11) with 50 shots – 23 of which went on goal – but all they had to show for 24 in the first half was senior Brendan Allen's 16th career goal after Jared Delaney took a ball off of a defender and set him up in the 12 minute.

The floodgates began to open in the 51st, when Yan Pessoa de Oliveira headed in a Villegas corner. Villegas went through a pair of defenders to set up Addie's first goal in the 70th, and four minutes later he picked off a Lion pass and hit Addie for a 15-yard shot.

Senior defender Michael Miller got into the act in the 85th with his first goal of the season. The reigning CCC Defensive Player of the Year had only one previous career goal, on a penalty kick.

Delaney, another senior, tacked on in the 89th with his third of the season, heading in a Luis Aguilar corner.

With his second three-assist outing, Villegas became the first Raider to ever reach 10 in a season and the first CCC player since 2017 to hit double figures in both goals (10) and assists. He's recorded points in six consecutive games.

Wyatt Zabinski was credited with his 28th career shutout, securing one save.

The Raiders' CCC home unbeaten streak went to 19 games. Sixteen of those have been shutouts.
