Four CCC Teams Represented on the NAIA Women’s Cross Country Top-25 Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Madonna (Mich.) remains No. 1 in the latest edition of the 2019 Women’s Cross Country Top 25 Poll, released Thursday morning by the NAIA office.
College of Idaho led three Cascade Collegiate Conference teams in the rankings, with another receiving votes. Oregon Tech moved up five spots from No. 14 to No. 9 and Southern Oregon University is right on its tail at No. 11. Eastern Oregon University is just on the brink of breaking into the top-25, grabbing 81 points in the poll.

Top 25 Highlights (historical information dates back to 1999):
- The Crusaders competed in the Ray Billock Invitational since the previous rating and finished first of eight teams.
- There are two new teams in the Top 25: No. 17 Concordia (Neb.) and No. 25 Judson (Ill.)
- Simon Fraser (B.C.) holds the record for the most No. 1 rankings with 38 all-time.
- College of Idaho actively holds the longest consecutive streak in the poll at 83 weeks. The team moved up to No. 3 in this week’s poll.
Poll Methodology
• The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences.
• Each conference is represented by one rater.
• The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place and so on through the list.
• The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) is removed and the team’s ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appear on.
• Teams that receive only one point in the ballot are not considered “receiving votes.”
