Rassier Gets Four Goals to Dim Beacons
KIRKLAND – Rylee Rassier scored four goals and added an assist, as Northwest extended its win streak to nine games with a 5-0 victory over Northwest Christian Saturday.
Rassier got the game winner in the sixth minute, scoring off assists by Elizabeth Moretti and Olivia Morris. Rassier made a second goal in the 17
th minute, getting help from Callie Wright.
Stephanie Wilson and Morris got impressive touches for assists, as Rassier got her hat trick goal in the 54
th minute. Rasser polished off her performance by converting a penalty kick in the 74
th minute.
Morris got the game’s final goal in the 57
th minute with assists by Rassier and Wright.
“I thought we did a good job today of breaking down a determined team that never stopped working hard,” said NU Coach Bryan Chud. “Rylee scored four great goals today and is showing what she is capable of. We probably should’ve had more goals than we did, but we got the result and the shutout. We’ll enjoy a well-earned rest the next couple days before turning our attention to Warner Pac and Multnomah.”
The Eagles outshot the Beacons 31-2. Rassier had nine shots ad six shots on goal, while Wright placed five of her eight shots on target.
Kat Sanchez collected her fourth shutout of the season and 21
st of her career with two saves.
Now 9-2 on the season and 5-0 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference, the Eagles head to Portland Friday to take on Warner Pacific.
