CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 2019 Cascade Collegiate Conference Volleyball Championship Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, begins Tuesday with the quarterfinals.

No. 1-seeded Southern Oregon University and No. 2-seeded Eastern Oregon University get first-round byes and will face the winners of the quarterfinals on Friday at host SOU. Live stats and live video ($7.95 per game pay-per-view) for all CCC Championships games will be available through the CCC Stretch Internet Portal.

With the regular-season coming down to the last weekend to decide seeding for the tournament, the matchups are bound for excitement as well.

Third-seeded Corban University hosts six-seed Northwest University for a 7 p.m. matchup Tuesday night.

The two teams split the regular-season series, each taking a match 3-1 on the road. Corban won the first matchup with Jacquelyn Clark leading the attack with 15 kills on the night. In October, the Eagles won on the Warriors’ home court, led by Hannah Lord with 10 kills on the night.

Fourth-seeded College of Idaho hosts the other quarterfinal as No. 5-seed Northwest Christian University comes to town for a 7 p.m. MST start time.

The Coyotes may have the higher seed, but the Beacons have given the Yotes a hard time this year. Both teams picked up wins to split the regular-season series, with C of I taking the first match 3-2. Abigail Guinn has fueled the C of I offense and dished out 27 assists in the victory. NCU evened the series with a 3-0 victory in Idaho, however, making this quarterfinal a crucial matchup. Kayla Olson played a big roll in the Beacons’ victory, posting 14 digs on the night.

The winners of each quarterfinal head to Ashland, Ore., to still fight for the tournament championship and a berth to the NAIA National Championship.
