CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 2019 Cascade Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Championship Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank kicks off in Springfield, Ore., Tuesday morning, with a trophy and a trip to the NAIA Championship on the line.

Northwest Christian University hosts the tournament, with live stats and live video ($7.95 per game pay-per-view) for all CCC Championships games being made available through the CCC Stretch Internet Portal.

No. 24-ranked Oregon Tech grabbed the top seed after claiming the regular-season championship with an undefeated conference record (13-2-3, 10-0-2 CCC). The Lady Owls also earned the first of two automatic qualifiers to the NAIA Championship Tournament, with the second going to the Tournament Champion (or runner-up if OIT wins the trophy).

The Owls take on eighth-seeded Corban University in the quarterfinal first round, kicking off at 5 p.m. OIT grabbed a 1-0 victory over the Warriors on the road. Kylie Cowell provided the Owls with the game-winner, scoring in the 37th minute of action, despite both teams having 14 shots in the game. Amanda Seward (12 goals) and Maddie Miller (10 goals) look to lead the OIT offense. Four Warriors have scored five or more goals so far this year, led by Chanel Garcia and Klarissa Barajas, who both have six.

Second-seeded Eastern Oregon, which is receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches’ Poll, takes on seventh-seeded Carroll College in the other 5 p.m. matchup. The Mountaineers (12-2-2, 9-2-1 CCC) grabbed a 2-0 victory over the Saints (9-6-2, 6-5-1 CCC) the last time these two teams met. Josee Bassett and Kayla Storm each scored for the Mounties, who are led by Nan Kiebert (11 goals). Makayla Welch, who has eight goals on the year, leads CC’s offensive effort.

Third seed Rocky Mountain College (12-3-1, 9-2-1 CCC) takes on six seed College of Idaho (7-5-4, 6-4-2 CCC) in one of the two final games of the day at 8 p.m. The last time these two teams met, the Battlin’ Bears came away with the 2-0 victory, fueled by goals from Tiara Duford and Lauryn Gamache (team-high 16 goals). The Coyotes will look to keep up their defensive prowess, limiting opponents to just 13 goals on the year. Kylee Atkins has 61 saves on the year so far between the posts for the Yotes.

The final matchup puts fourth-seeded Northwest University (13-5-0, 9-3-0 CCC) against No. 5-seeded Southern Oregon University (10-5-2, 7-3-2 CCC). It’s a rematch of the pair’s regular-season finale where NU took the game 1-0 on an own goal. The Eagles have no problem scoring on their own, however, Rylee Rassier (16 goals) and Callie Wright (14 goals, seven assists) leading the charge. SOU has a solid defense, though, with a pair of solid goalkeepers. Jessie Selby boasts an impressive 0.640 goals against average and 0.897 save percentage and Kailey Lemon holds a 0.980 GAA with a 0.814 save percentage.

Before the tournament gets rolling, the CCC Postseason Awards Banquet happens tonight where all-conference and the top awards will be announced. Fans can watch the event for free on the CCC Stretch Internet Portal, beginning at 6:30 p.m. PT.
