CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference announced the 2019 Women’s Soccer All-Conference teams Tuesday evening, showcasing the conference’s top performers during the fall campaign.

Northwest University saw three Eagles earn top honors in Rylee Rassier (Co-Offensive Player of the Year), Kat Sanchez (Defensive Player of the Year), and Callie Wright (Newcomer of the Year). Rocky Mountain College’s Lauryn Gamache shares the Co-Offensive Player of the Year title with Rassier, while Oregon Tech’s Brandon Porter was named the Coach of the Year. Multnomah University was honored the Team Sportsmanship Award to round out the top honors.

Rassier ranks second in the conference with 16 goals on the year, but over half of them have proved to be game-winners. The senior forward’s seven game-winners rank sixth in all of the NAIA, averaging an eighth-best 0.39 game-winning goals per game. Rassier also sits 28th amongst the NAIA’s goal scorers, averaging 0.89 goals per game (31st).

Gamache matched Rassier for 16 goals on the year, including two game-winners, and has also assisted five times. The senior forward averages 1.07 goals per game, which ranks 22nd in the NAIA. She scored five goals against Northwest Christian University on nine shots, which not only broke the RMC single-game record, but also set a new Battlin’ Bear career record for goals and points.

In just over 1,500 minutes of action, Sanchez has posted seven shutouts on the year with 68 saves to finish the regular season with a 0.900 goals against average, which ranks 37th in the NAIA. The senior goalkeeper has had to make a season-high eight saves three times this year to set a new NU career record with 23 shutouts.

Wright has had a stellar collegiate debut so far, scoring 14 goals and assisting eight times in 16 games. The freshman forward ranks in the top-50 of multiple NAIA statistical categories, including: 27th with 2.78 shots on goal per game, 41st for 1.94 points per game, 42nd for 35 total points, 45th with 4.33 shots per game and 50th with 0.780 goals per game.

Porter was crowned the Coach of the Year after leading the 24th-ranked Lady Owls to an undefeated CCC record and the CCC regular-season championship. The first-place finish bested OIT’s predicted fourth-place finish.

Below is the complete list of 2019 award winners and all-conference honorees. Honorable mention was awarded to players who had at least two votes from the CCC Women’s Soccer Head Coaches.
