Men’s Basketball Falls In Home Opener
The Evergreen State College men's basketball team fell in the home opener to Division III opponent Linfield 95-82 Tuesday night at the Costantino Recreation Center.
Evergreen had five players that scored double digits for the game. Anthony Grandberry led the way with 18 points, LaBrandon Price recorded 16 points and led on defense with 11 rebounds for a double-double. Raven Frazier recorded 14 points, Elijah Fuller had 13 points and Danny Nelson added 10 points.
Grant Gibb led the way for the Wildcats with 21 points and Dempsey Roggenbuck recorded 19 points. Aaron Baune recorded 14 points and Tanner Autencio led on defense with nine rebounds.
Evergreen shot 47.7 percent from the floor to Linfield's 43.1 percent. The Wildcats recorded nine steals for the match and 19 turnovers.
The Geoducks will be back in action at home on Tuesday, Nov. 26 to face Pacific Lutheran at 7 p.m. Before the home game, Evergreen will travel to Central Washington for an exhibition game on Friday at 7 p.m.
