Linfield Defeats Women’s Basketball 76-62
FOREST GROVE, Ore. – The Evergreen State College women's basketball team fell 76-62 to Division III member Linfield Saturday afternoon in the Stoller Center to close out the Ken Schumann Classic.
Evergreen was led by Trinity Betoney, who had 22 points and nine rebounds. Jerri Maluyo recorded 11 points and eight rebounds and Anna Cook had nine points.
Linfield was led by Molly Danielson, who had a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Kory Oleson added 22 points and Delaney Ragan had 11 points.
The Geoducks shot 37 percent from the field to the Wildcats 57 percent. Evergreen recorded 19 points off of 18 turnovers from Linfield. The Geoducks added 11 steals.
Evergreen is back in action on Friday, Dec. 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the Costantino Recreation Center to open Cascade Collegiate Conference play against Oregon Tech.
