The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period Oct. 28-Nov. 3.

Volleyball - Attacker
No. 9-ranked Southern Oregon University's Taylor Ristvedt was named the Red Lion Volleyball Attacker of the Week for the third time this year.

Ristvedt, a 6-foot-2 senior right-side hitter from Portland, helped SOU sweep the Eastern Oregon University/College of Idaho trip – a feat no other CCC team has accomplished since 2005 – for the second year in a row. She had six kills in the tiebreaker set of SOU's win at third-ranked EOU to put the Raiders back in a tie for first place in the conference. With one error at C of I, Ristvedt helped the team to a .393 attack average. Her performance on the week moved her up two spots to No. 2 on SOU's career kills list (1,242).

Honorable mention: Megan Bunn, EOU

Volleyball - Defender
No. 9-ranked Southern Oregon University's Emma Ryan was named the Red Lion Volleyball Defender of the Week.

A 5-foot-5 senior libero from Lebanon, Ore., Ryan collected a career-high 31 digs in SOU's win at third-ranked EOU, helping the Raiders back to first place in the CCC standings. She also moved up to No. 8 on the SOU career digs list (1,121) with 54 on the week.

Honorable mention: Kayla Olson, NCU; Abigail Broussard, NU

Volleyball - Setter
Northwest Christian University's Makenna Northern was named the Red Lion Volleyball Setter of the Week for the second time this year.

The 5-foot-9 sophomore setter from Brownsville, Ore., broke the NCU single-season assist record on Saturday night. Northern also posted four kills on dump sets without an attack error and led the hitters to a .226 attack percentage over the weekend as NCU climbed to a fifth-place tie with C of I. Beacons have now won six-of-seven.

Honorable mention: Hannah Bogatin, SOU

Women's Soccer – Defensive
Southern Oregon University's Kailey Lemon was named the Red Lion Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

The 5-foot-7 senior goalkeeper from Coarsegold, Calif., got her third-straight shutout, giving the Raiders their fifth in a row. Lemon had four saves in Saturday's upset 1-0 victory over 25th-ranked Northwest.

Honorable Mention: Kaya Evans, C of I; Maia Wetzel, RMC

Women's Soccer - Offensive
Rocky Mountain College's Lauryn Gamache was named the Red Lion Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Gamache, a 5-foot-6 senior forward from St. Louis, Mo., scored five goals against Northwest Christian (most in a single match in the CCC this year and most in Rocky's school history) while simultaneously breaking the Battlin' Bears' record for most career goals and career points on Friday (She already holds the program record for most assists). She then followed it up with the game-winning goal against Corban on Sunday.

Honorable mention: Amanda Seward, OIT; Kirsten Girolami, Carroll

Men's Soccer – Defensive
Southern Oregon University's Wyatt Zabinski was named the Red Lion Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

The 6-foot-4 senior goalkeeper from Phoenix was credited with his fifth shutout at The Evergreen State College, helping the Raiders grab a 2-0 victory. Zabinski also posted a save in SOU's 3-1 win over Northwest University.

Men's Soccer - Offensive
No. 19-ranked Corban University's Matheus Giron was named the Red Lion Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

A 5-foot-9 junior midfielder from Sao Pailo, Brazil, Giron starred in Corban's historic weekend, earning his third and fourth braces of the season to propel the Warriors to the CCC Regular-Season Title. Giron provided the game-winner in Sunday's championship match with RMC, before adding some insurance with a penalty kick early in the second half. In total, Corban's leading goal scorer (13) ended the weekend with four goals and an assist.
