RACE RESULTS
EUGENE, Ore. – No. 3 College of Idaho take care of business on Friday morning, winning the Cascade Collegiate Conference championship. Warner Pacific University Freshman Phenom Amelia Pullen took home the individual title.
The Yotes scored 55 points in the event, distancing themselves by 15 points from No. 9 Southern Oregon. It was the first victory for C of I since 2013 and this was the first time since 2009 that the men's and women's titles went to the same school. No. 12 Eastern Oregon University took third with 88 points and No. 18 Oregon Tech followed in fourth (94).
Fifth and sixth place went to Northwest Christian University (132) and Northwest University (139) respectively as the pair of teams receiving votes in the NAIA national poll looked to keep their post-season hopes alive. Corban University (170) and Warner Pacific (186) rounded out the team scoring.
Pullen (pictured above) ran the 5000m course in 17 minutes, 35 seconds to defeat Eastern Oregon sophomore Michelle Herbes by 12 seconds. NCU’s Anika Rasubala, the reigning 3000m Steeplechase national champion, took third place (18:00) followed by the College of Idaho duo of Erin Moyer (18:02) and Larissa Mauer (18:05).
