KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – After opening on a deficit, Oregon Tech (9-4, 3-0 CCC) dominated 34-13 in the second half to take down College of Idaho (4-8, 2-1 CCC) on Friday night at Danny Miles Court, maintaining their undefeated conference record in their CCC home opener.

A show of strength from the Yotes opened up the first quarter. The team shot with perfect accuracy, landing 2-of-2 from long range to boost them on a 10-2 run to an early advantage, which was maintained through the end of the quarter.

The second was a hard-fought battle for both sides, with only three baskets scored in the last five minutes of the quarter. While the Owls were unable to gain the lead, they kept their deficit to only two points. The Yotes went into the locker room on a 35-25 advantage and with four makes from long range.

However, a 9-0 run in the third kicked off Tech's domination, with junior Amanda Constant adding a three-pointer and sophomore Melissa Lee scoring four points that included the game-tying basket. A single free throw off an OIT foul kept College of Idaho on top, ending the quarter 44-43.

But it was too late for the Lady Yotes, who were held to only four points in the fourth quarter as the Lady Owls expanded their run to 27-5. The team struggled through the second half on their worst shooting average of the night, making only 5-of-20 while Tech stayed consistent.

Sophomore Courtney Clemmer led the team with a game-high 14 points and was followed by Constant who scored 11 in the second half alone, notching 13 points, eight boards, and four assists. Sophomore Melissa Lee rounded off the double-digit scorers with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Mackenzie Royce-Radford led College of Idaho with 11 points and four rebounds, with Kiersten Rasmussen tallying another seven. Nearly every one of the Yotes chipped in at least two points in the game.

Oregon Tech held a 35-26 rebounding advantage and a 12-6 assisting edge. Both teams earned 20 from the bench and 18 points in the paint.

The Owls forced 20 turnovers for an additional 18 points.

The Lady Owls will continue conference play with a game against No. 18 Eastern Oregon Saturday night at 5:30pm. During the weekend, all students from kindergarten through 12th grade will get free admission to all games.
