The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period Dec. 15-22.
 
Women’s Basketball – Player
Northwest Christian University’s Morgan McKinney was named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
A 5-foot-8 junior guard from Lake Oswego, Ore., McKinney had a great week as NCU pushed its winning streak to five and remained one of two undefeated teams in the CCC. Her eight assists against The Evergreen State College were a career-high as she helped the Beacons grab an 87-60 victory over the Geoducks. She averaged 18.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.

Men’s Basketball – Player
College of Idaho’s Connor Desaulniers was named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
The 6-foot-8 junior forward from Boise, Idaho, had a huge weekend in helping C of I pick up just its third sweep of the Oregon Tech-Southern Oregon University road trip in the last 20 years. The win over OIT was just the third time in program history the Coyotes have defeated a Top-2 team. Desaulniers made 15-of-23 field goals, averaging 17 points and seven rebounds a game.

Men’s Wrestling – Wrestler
Arizona Christian University’s Elias Gonzales was named the Red Lion Men’s Wrestler of the Week.
 
Gonzales, the No. 14-ranked freshman wrestler at 125 pounds, went 2-0 at desert duals on Sunday, with a dominant win by tech fall (17-1) over Bobby Salazar and an upset 3-1 win over 11th-ranked Mario Ybarra from Concordia.
 
Women’s Wrestling – Wrestler
Southern Oregon University’s Macie Stewart was named the Red Lion Women’s Wrestler of the Week.
 
Stewart, a 109-pound sophomore from Springfield, Ore., won her bracket the West Coast Tournament of Champions. She picked up a 10-0 tech fall in the opening round, before grabbing back-to-back wins by pins, including one in 44 seconds.
