Fourth Quarter Surge Pushes SOU past Evergreen
Southern Oregon came back and scored 34 points in the fourth quarter to defeat the Evergreen State College women's basketball team 79-73 at home on Saturday.
Evergreen was led by Trinity Betoney, who recorded 26 points, Jerri Maluyo added 14 points and Angela Sikora had 12 points.
Southern Oregon was led by Syd'Nee Fryer, who had a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Dominique Harding added 19 points and Kenadee Honaker had 11 points.
SOU shot 42.9 percent from the floor to Evergreen's 43.1 percent. The score was tied nine times and had six different lead changes. The Geoducks had a best 10-point lead in the fourth quarter with 9:45 left. Southern Oregon came right back to have its biggest lead of eight with 44 second in the game.
