Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period Dec. 1-7.
Women’s Basketball – Player
Southern Oregon University’s Syd’Nee Fryer was named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
The 5-foot-9 junior forward from Manteca, Calif., posted her fourth and fifth career double-doubles and season-highs in points on back-to-back nights. Fryer scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds against Northwest University, also adding three assists and three blocks. She then scored another 22 points against The Evergreen State College, snagging 12 boards. Fryer also had four assists and four steals in the 79-73 victory.

Men’s Basketball – Player
Northwest University’s Ryan Ricks was named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
The 6-foot-1 junior guard from Spokane, Wash., averaged 19.5 points over two games to help NU boast two wins, including an upset 80-68 victory over No. 1 Oregon Tech. Ricks got the game-winning three-point play with 3.8 seconds left in the win over No. 17 Southern Oregon University and finished with 28 points against the Owls. He shot .545 from the floor, including a 6-of-11 output from beyond the arc, and was a perfect 9-of-9 at the charity stripe.

Men’s Wrestling – Wrestler
Corban University’s Levi Perry was named the Red Lion Men’s Wrestler of the Week for the second time this year.
The seventh-ranked 174-pound wrestler from Kuna, Idaho, remained undefeated and moved to 18-0 on the season with a win over Dax Bennett, who is ranked eighth in the nation in the NJCAA rankings at 174 pounds. Perry pinned his opponent in four minutes, 35 seconds.
