Lions Close Out Regular Season in Loss to Northwest

PORTLAND – After clinching a spot in the Cascade Conference postseason tournament with last night's win, the Multnomah University women's basketball team will have the eighth seed of the tournament after a 74-56 loss to Northwest University in the final regular season game.

GAME SUMMARY:
- Teams remained close throughout the first half as MU and Northwest battled to a 26-25 score with the Eagles taking a slight advantage.
- NU took over after that, using a 17-2 run between the end of the second and midway through the third quarter.
- The Eagles shot 39 percent from the field but their 50 percent shooting from three-point made the difference, hitting 13 threes total.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Milan Woods led the Lions with 13 points along with three steals and three rebounds.
- Behind her was Alaygza Portis, Sequoia Wheeler and Rachelle Tau with eight points each while Paris Sanders Collected 11 rebounds and seven points.
- For NU, Mariah Stacona led four Eagles in double figures with 17 points.
