The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period February 17-24.

Men’s Basketball

Southern Oregon’s Tristen Holmes has been named the Red Lion men’s basketball Player of the Week.

Holmes came up big in each of the Raiders’ upset road wins in the CCC tournament quarterfinals and semifinals. Playing in his final season, the Medford, Ore. native came one rebound shy (19 points, nine rebounds) of a double-double in Southern Oregon’s win over Northwest Christian on Wednesday, then added 20 points and four assists in the Raiders’ buzzer-beating triumph over Corban in Saturday night’s semifinals. A playmaker when his squad needed him most, Holmes sank three-straight triples against the Warriors to help his team erase an eight-point deficit in the game’s final minutes.

Women’s Basketball

Eastern Oregon’s Maya Ah You Dias has been named the Red Lion women’s basketball Player of the Week.

Ah You Dias has become a staple of the CCC Player of the Week list, delivering another pair of clutch performances for her squad in the quarterfinals and semifinals of the CCC Tournament. Registering a double-double (23 points, 14 rebounds) against Multnomah on Tuesday, the CCC’s leading scorer then dropped 42 points (to go with 15 rebounds) in the Mountaineer’s nail-biting double-overtime triumph over College of Idaho on Friday.

Softball – Hitting

Trystin Crofts of College of Idaho has been selected as the Red Lion softball Player of the Week.

Crofts continued her stellar start to the young 2019 season, going 8-for-17 over a five-game span for the 10-1 Yotes. In the squad’s 8-6 win over NCAA Division III Willamette, the junior from Tooele, Utah blasted a go-ahead two-run homer. In addition, the slugging third baseman has recorded an RBI in eight-straight games as part of College of Idaho’s record start.

Softball – Pitching

Sarah Probasco of Corban has been named the Red Lion softball Player of the Week.

Probasco, a junior out of Longview, Wash., was key in the No. 16-ranked Warriors’ perfect 3-0 weekend against NCAA Division II foes. In a 14-1 trouncing of Saint Martin’s, she went the distance (five innings) in the circle, allowing just one run while striking out four. Probasco would come back to throw three innings of scoreless ball against Central Washington a couple days later, striking out a pair of Wildcats in Corban’s 4-2 triumph.

Baseball – Hitting

British Columbia’s Noah Or has been selected as the Red Lion baseball Player of the Week.

Or had a spectacular weekend at the plate for the Thunderbirds in a pair of wins against NCAA Division II Concordia (Ore.). The freshman backstop went 8-for-10 at the plate with four runs batted in, including a double and a triple in game one of the doubleheader. The two RBIs he recorded in the seventh inning of the series finale on Sunday were the difference in the T-Birds’ 10-8 triumph, helping UBC sweep the three-game series.

Baseball – Pitching

College of Idaho’s Hunter Boyd has been selected as the Red Lion baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Boyd, a big right-hander out of Moses Lake, Wash., was brilliant in the Yotes’ NAIA-West opening series against Oregon Tech.
