PORTLAND – The Multnomah University men's basketball team couldn't hang on to a 18-point halftime lead as Northwest Christian stormed back to defeat the Lions 114-107 on Jim Skagen Court.

GAME SUMMARY:
- NCU jumped out ahead early in the first half, leading the Lions 26-16.
- Multnomah made a 15-point run at that point to regain the lead before taking a 65-47 advantage into halftime.
- Down by as much as 19 points, the Beacons chipped away at the lead throughout the second half before taking the lead back 94-93 with 7:10 left to play.
- NCU held on to the lead, nailing six free throws down the stretch to hold on to the win.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Justin Martin led the lions with 51 points while Zach Richardson added 17 points and Brett Blackstock and Ben Grandle contributed 11 points each.
- For NCU, Reece Robinson finished with 38 points and Austin Tyner added 25.
COMING UP NEXT:
The Lions will travel next weekend as they compete at College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon beginning on Friday, Feb. 8.
