The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period April 8-14.

Softball – Player

Kiahna Brown of Oregon Tech has been selected as the Red Lion softball Player of the Week.

Brown had a huge weekend at the dish for the No. 12-ranked Lady Owls, going 8-for-12 with seven runs scored as Oregon Tech earned a three-game sweep of British Columbia on the road. The senior from Redmond, Ore. now ranks third in the NAIA in total runs scored (58) and sixth in total bases (106).

Softball – Pitcher

Colette Robert has been named the Red Lion softball Pitcher of the Week.

Robert was dominant in the circle for the CCC Team of the Week, College of Idaho. The senior southpaw tossed consecutive shutouts, allowing just seven hits in 14 innings of work while striking out 11 and surrendering just one free pass. Robert currently leads the CCC in both ERA and strikeout-to-walk ratio.

Baseball – Player

Corban’s Josh Ebert has been selected as the Red Lion baseball Player of the Week.

Ebert, a junior out of Vancouver, Wash., was pivotal out of the leadoff spot as the Warriors took two of three from the first-place (RV) Thunderbirds over the weekend. The centerfielder went 6-for-12 (.500) between the trio of games, scoring four runs and stroking a pair of doubles. Ebert also swiped three bags during the series, pushing his conference-best stolen base total to 13, and pushing his base-stealing rate of success to a ridiculous 93 percent on the 2019 season.

Honorable mentions: Brandon Hupe, UBC; Kyle Callahan, LCSC

Baseball – Pitcher

Tyler Burch of Lewis-Clark State has been chosen as the Red Lion baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Burch, the reigning NAIA West Pitcher of the Year, was near-unhittable in his outing against College of Idaho on Friday night. The senior from East Wenatchee, Wash. went the distance on the mound, allowing just one hit and striking out eight in the win. The lone run he surrendered was unearned, as (RV) Lewis-Clark State would go on to sweep the Yotes up in Lewiston.

Men’s Outdoor Field

Zach Beltz of Southern Oregon has been chosen as the Red Lion men’s outdoor field Athlete of the Week.

Beltz is no stranger to the CCC Players of the Week list, and he once again finds himself among the honorees after an impressive performance at the SOU Raider Invite. The senior posted the top long jump mark in the NAIA this season at 25’ 0.75”, and landed at No. 2 on the national triple jump performance list at 49’ 7.75”. The long jump effort broke his own school record, and the triple jump mark was a new personal-best and his first time hitting the NAIA 'A' standard this season.

Honorable mention: Dawson Kennon, EOU

Women’s Outdoor Field

Northwest’s Anna Miller has been chosen as the Red Lion women’s outdoor field Athlete of the Week.

Men’s Outdoor Track

Chris Rosero of Southern Oregon has been chosen as the Red Lion men’s outdoor track Athlete of the Week.

Lee finished the event at 2-under-par 142 after opening with a 70 and then finishing with an even-par 72 in the final round.
