No. 13-Ranked UBC Leads After Day 1 of Men's Golf Championships Presented by U.S. Bank

BEND, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Golf Championship presented by U.S. Bank begun Monday here at the Pronghorn Resort’s Jack Nicklaus Golf Course Monday with No. 13-ranked University of British Columbia (UBC) holding the first-day lead.

 
UBC shot a four-player 36-hole even-par score of 285-291=576 on the par-72, 6,533-yard course, with (RV) Corban University second at 304-302=606, Northwest Christian University third at 310-301=611 and No. 14-ranked Oregon Tech Owls fourth at 305-308=613 to round out the top half of the teams. Tournament host Walla Walla University (312-323=635), College of Idaho (309-330=639), Warner Pacific College (334-349=683) and Multnomah University (367-336=703) rounded out the remaining scores on the men's side. 
 
The duo of Andrew Harrison (-5) of UBC and Reigning Red Lion Player of the Week Mayson Tibbs (-5) of Oregon Tech carded the best scores on the day with a 69-70=139 to sit atop the leaderboard while Ethan De Graaf (-1) of UBC, who received honerable mention for Red Lion Player of the Week, sits four shots back at 74-69=143. Logan Carver (+1) of UBC and Clancy Cockerham (+1) of College of Idaho round out the top five, shooting scores of 71-74=145 and 72-73=145, respectively, to sit six shots back. 
 
The men's groups will begin the final round of the championships tomorrow morning with 9:00 a.m. serving as the first tee time.
