No. 13-Ranked UBC Crowned Regular Season and Tournament Champions at Men's Golf Championships Presented by U.S. Bank

BEND, Ore. – With four golfers in the top-five, including medalist Andrew Harrison, the No. 13-ranked University of British Columbia (UBC) captured the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Men's Golf Championship presented by U.S. Bank Tuesday afternoon on the Jack Nicklaus Golf Course at Pronghorn Resort. In addition to the tournament win, the Thunderbirds (22-0) claimed the regular season title, ending the season with a 286.1 three-round average.
UBC shot a four-player 54-hole 12-under score of 285-291-276=852 on the par-72, 6,533-yard course to win the tournament, earning the automatic berth into the NAIA National Tournament in Mesa, Ariz. (RV) Corban University finished second with a two-day, three-round score of 304-302-299=905, while the No. 14 ranked Oregon Tech Owls rounded out the top three, carding rounds of 305-308-295=908.
Northwest Christian University (310-301-302), who received the CCC Team Sportsmanship award, came in fourth while College of Idaho (309-330-310) jumped into fifth place after round three over tournament host Walla Walla University (312-323-319=954). Warner Pacific College (334-349-327=1010) and Multnomah University (367-336-352=1055) rounded out the remaining scores on the men's side.
Andrew Harrison (-6) shot a 69-70-71=210 on the par-72 course, one stroke ahead of runner-up and teammate Ethan De Graaf, who shot a 74-69-68=211. Oregon Tech's Mayson Tibbs finished third at 69-70-74=213 while teammates Logan Carver and Zaahidali Nathu of UBC rounded out the top five tied in fourth place, carding even-par scores of 71-74-71=216 and 72-78-66, respectively. Nathu's 66 in round three was the lowest carded round of the tournament.
Andrew Harrison of UBC, averaging the best stroke average (70.0) in the conference earned 2018-19 CCC Player of the Year honors. Joining him on the All-Conference Team were Oregon Tech's Mayson Tibbs and Alejandro Armijo, UBC's Ethan De Graaf, Logan Carver and Zaahidali Nathu, Corban's Aaron Seabrook and College of Idaho's Chris Carew. Chris Macdonald of UBC was named by his peers as CCC's Men's Coach of the Year.
