OKLAHOMA, OK. – Oregon Tech's Stephanie Koza and Payton Canon fired a pair of opening round even par 72's and are tied for 6th to lead the Owls into a tie for 10th after the first round of the NAIA Women's National Golf Tournament at Lincoln Park Golf Course on Tuesday.

"Once we overcame a few jitters we played well as a team," said Head Coach Jeff Corkill. "304 is a solid start and it took a bit of grinding to do. Tomorrow the afternoon round will be a little tougher with the wind that comes up around noon each day."

Oklahoma City leads the 30-team field with an opening round 287. Cascade Conference Member British Columbia is in third place with a 294.

After Koza and Canon, Aerin Song is tied for 78 with a plus 7 (79), followed by Kylie Collom plus 9 (81) tied for 98th and Ashley Zhu (82) tied for 102nd.

The Owls will tee off at 10:30 AM (Pacific) on Wednesday with live stats available here.
