LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office unveiled the 2019 Softball All-Conference team on Thursday evening, awarding the CCC’s top performers from throughout the 2019 spring season.
Among the list of honorees, Ali Graham took home 2019 CCC Player of the Year plaudits for her incredible season for the No. 10-ranked Oregon Tech Owls. The 2018 NAIA Honorable Mention All-American slashed an incredible .420/.470/.721 on the season, ranking top-five in the conference in average (.420), slugging (.721), runs (49), RBIs (52), doubles (19), and home runs (11). The senior from Chehalis, Wash. led the CCC in hits (80) and total bases (132).
Southern Oregon’s Gabby Sandoval claimed CCC Pitcher of the Year accolades, compiling one of the conference’s most-dominant seasons in the circle in recent memory. Sandoval went 27-3 for the No. 4-ranked Raiders, holding opposing hitters to a CCC-best batting average against of just .165, and ending the 2019 campaign with a miniscule ERA of just 1.07. She has already tied for the CCC record in both wins and shutouts (12) in a single season.
Her teammate, Allie Stines, collected conference Newcomer of the Year honors, hitting at a lofty .420 clip while driving in 52 runs and blasting five homers.
The leader of the Southern Oregon squad, Jessica Pistole, was named the 2019 Coach of the Year, navigating the Raiders to a 42-7 overall record in her fifth year at the helm of the program. The 2019 CCC Regular-Season Champions are looking to make their third-consecutive trip to the NAIA World Series, and will serve as the No. 1 seed for this year’s conference tournament.
