Evergreen will be back in action next week in Montana for the Big Sky Challenge. The Geoducks will play five matches in four days. First up will be Carroll College on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Mountain.

John Brown 3, Evergreen 2

Evergreen lost the first two sets but after intermission, the Geoducks came back to win the next two and force a fifth set. In the fifth and final set, the set was tied at 12 after a kill by Tasha Hungate, but John Brown scored the next three points and took the win.

Evergreen was led by Zoe Shaw, who had a double-double 11 kills and 14 digs. Jocelyn Hillyar added 11 kills and Chloee Hunt had 19 kills. Sierra Wolff had a double-double with 42 assists and 15 digs. Leiko Yamauchi added 25 digs.

John Brown was led by Jessica Schultz, who had 14 kills on a .619 hitting percentage. Taylor Glover added a double-double with 10 kills and 13 digs.

Hope International 3, Evergreen 0

Evergreen fell to hosts Hope International in three. In that final set, the set was going back and forth until the match was set was tied at 21. Hope International scored the next three points to pull ahded. That run was ended by a kill from Lily Stewart, but the Royals would take the win with a kill.

Evergreen was led by Jocelyn Hillyar, who had 10 kills. Sierra Wolff added 31 assists and Sage Burgmeier added 16 digs.

Hope International was led by Brooke Beresford and Natalie Hadder, who both recorded eight kills. Hadder added 11 digs and both Erree Sato and Sarah Wong had 12 assists.
