SAN FRANSISCO – The Northwest Christian University women’s soccer team went into a looking glass of sorts on Saturday as they traveled to face NCAA Division II Academy of Art University, falling 7-0.
Just 24 hours earlier, the Beacons put up 43 shots and held an opponent without a single shot attempt for the first time in school history. Today, it was NCU that came up on the short end, unable to take aim at the net even once as the Urban Knights took 23 shot attempts including 15 shots-on-goal.
Academy of Art drew first blood in the 2nd minute of the contest and went on to score two more before halftime. Four more goals came over the final 45 minutes as Broolyn Villapadua led AA with four goals.
NCU (1-3) will be back on the pitch on Wednesday, September 4 as they travel to take on Linfield College at 7 p.m.
