The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period of August 26-September 1.
 
Volleyball - Attacker
Eastern Oregon University’s Jet Taylor was named the Red Lion Volleyball Attacker of the Week.
 
The six-foot middle from Rigby, Idaho, had 25 kills on the week to keep No. 10-ranked EOU undefeated on the year with three wins, including one over a ranked opponent. Taylor averaged 2.5 kills per set and 2.0 blocks per set. 
 
Honorable mention: Taylor Ristvedt, SOU; Ashley Ripplinger, Oregon Tech
 
Volleyball - Defender
Eastern Oregon University’s Kiley McMurtrey was named the Red Lion Volleyball Defender of the Week for the third week in a row.
 
McMurtrey, a 5-3 junior libero/defensive specialist from Idaho Falls, Idaho, helped keep the Mountaineers undefeated by averaging 22 digs per match (6.6 digs per set) on the week. She had 29 digs in EOU’s 3-1 victory over No. 21-ranked University of Providence and finished the week with four aces and just one reception error in three matches.

Volleyball - Setter
College of Idaho’s Abigail Guinn was named the Red Lion Volleyball Setter of the Week.
 
The 5-11 freshman from Reno, Nev., led the Yotes to a 2-1 week with 10.7 assists per set and 2.1 digs per set. She also had two aces, two solo stuffs and five block assists on the week.
 
Honorable mention: Makenna Northern, NCU; Madison Pilon, EOU
 
Women’s Soccer – Defensive
Eastern Oregon’s Cydni Cottrell was named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Cottrell, a 5-foot-7 goalkeeper from Pasco, Wash., recorded her second shutout of the year to help No. 14 EOU upset No. 10-ranked Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) 2-0. She made eight saves in 90 minutes between the posts.
 
Honorable mention: Kaya Evans, College of Idaho
 
Women’s Soccer - Offensive
Eastern Oregon’s Mackinley Gregus was named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
The 5-6 sophomore from Glendora, Calif., had an outstanding game to help the 14th-ranked Mountaineers grab a 2-0 win over 10th-ranked Embry-Riddle (Ariz.). She scored both goals, finishing with four shots in the game, with three on goal.
 
Honorable mention: Hannah Shore, Corban
 
Men’s Soccer – Defensive
College of Idaho’s Parker Billings was named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
The 5-foot-11 junior goalkeeper from Boise, Idaho, had a stellar week between the posts for the Yotes. Billings made 11 saves, including a clutch penalty kick save, to finish the week with two wins and a shutout.
 
Honorable mention: Kristofer Wennin, Rocky Mountain College
 
Men’s Soccer - Offensive
C of I’s Ben Bechor was named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Bechor, a 5-11 midfielder from Modiin, Israel, scored three goals on the week, including the game-winner in the Yotes’ 3-1 victory over Linfield. Of his 12 shots on the week, nine of them were on frame.
