Battlin' Bears Roar Past Lions 3-0
BILLINGS, Mont., September 20, 2019 – Opening up conference play for the 2019 season, Rocky Mountain College defeated the Multnomah Lions 3-0 Friday afternoon.
The Battlin' Bears held a blistering 37-1 shot advantage over the Lions. Despite Rocky's offensive advantage, Multnomah's goalkeeper Trisha Priest held the Battlin' Bears to only three goals with 18 saves.
Hailey Nicholson scored her first goal as a Battlin' Bear in the 19th minute with an assist from Alexis Robbins. Nicholson scored again on a penalty kick in the 46th minute.
In the 66th minute, Madison Browne powered a header into the back of the net off a pass from Hannah Borgel for the final point of the game.
Rocky Mountain College held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The Battlin' Bears will next play Warner Pacific University on Sunday at 12 p.m.
