The Evergreen State College women's volleyball team defeated Walla Walla 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-18) Friday at the Costantino Recreation Center.

Evergreen was led by three players who all had seven kills. That was Chloee Hunt, Renita Gray and Lily Stewart. Sierra Wolff had 28 assists for the match and Nicole Duryea recorded 11 digs.

"Great to get a win at home," said head coach Angela Spoja. "Also having everyone contribute tonight was fun to see. We are playing more and more like a team and finding our scrappiness on defense. We are looking forward to another home match tomorrow against Northwest."

Walla Walla was led by Caldora Blackburn, who had 10 kills. Krista Schafer and Ka'iulani Chamberlain both had 11 assists.

The Geoducks hit a .307 for the match to WWU's .065 and had a best .417 in the second set. Evergreen recorded five total blocks for the match.

This is the 12th straight win for the Geoducks over the Wolves and a sweep as Evergreen won 3-1 at Walla Walla.

Evergreen will be back in action tomorrow at home at 5 p.m. to see Northwest University.
