Third Set Win Not Enough Against Northwest

The Evergreen State College women's volleyball team won the third set but fell 3-1 (24-26, 17-25, 25-19, 19-25) on Saturday to Northwest University at the Costantino Recreation Center.

Evergreen was led by Chloee Hunt, who had 20 kills on a .500 hitting percentage. Lily Stewart added 13 kills and Renita Gray had 11. Sierra Wolff added 49 assists for the match and both Zoe Shaw and Nicole Duryea had 17 digs.

Northwest was led by Hannah Lord, who had 15 kills for the match and Keann White recorded 10 kills. Anna Saelens recorded a double-double with 26 assists and 10 digs. Cristina Hegarty had 12 digs and Courteney Carr recorded 18 assists.

The Eagles hit a .289 for the match and best .433 in the second set. The Geoducks hit a .199 for the match and best .333 in the third set.

Evergreen is back in action at home on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, the Geoducks face Southern Oregon at 7 p.m. and see Oregon Tech at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
