Seventh Annual CCC Mascot Challenge Bracket Set
CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Seventh Annual Cascade Collegiate Conference Mascot Challenge bracket was released Saturday morning following the first round of voting.
Eight mascots have advanced to the quarterfinals of this year’s competition and begin bracket play next week. The opening round consisted of 10 CCC member mascots facing off in a 24-hour poll.
The Evergreen State College’s Speedy Q grabbed the No. 1 seed after finishing with over 300 votes. Eastern Oregon University’s Monty picked up the No. 2 seed after grabbing the second-most votes, followed by Southern Oregon University’s Rocky (No. 3). The fourth and fifth seeds were decided by less than 20 votes, with Corban University’s Cadmar (No. 4) just edging out Oregon Tech’s Hootie (No. 5).
College of Idaho’s Yote (No. 6), Northwest Christian University’s Mr. Beacon (No. 7) and Northwest University’s Swoops (No. 8) rounded out the top-eight. Walla Walla University’s Wally and Multnomah University’s Mitch did not make the cut.
The remaining rounds of the Seventh Annual CCC Mascot Challenge will be head-to-head matchups held on the conference’s Twitter (
@cccsports) and Instagram (
@cascadeconference) story platforms.
