Harding Leads Raiders Past Lions
PORTLAND, Ore. - The Multnomah University women's basketball team (3-9, 0-5 CCC) faced off against the Southern Oregon University Raiders (8-5, 4-2 CCC) on Saturday night at Jim
Skagen Court, but the Raiders walked away with a 51-93 victory due to their 33 bench points and aggressive full court press.
Multnomah remained within striking distance at the end of the first quarter, trailing the Raiders 15-22, but an 18-4 run by Southern Oregon gave them a comfortable 26-50 lead at the half. The Lions struggled to break the Raiders press and turned the ball over 29 times, compared to the 12 turnovers by SOU.
Multnomah was led by
Erykah Campbell's 10 points, eight rebounds and six blocks, while Rachelle Tau added 13 points as well.
Southern Oregon was led by Dominique Harding who finished with 17 points, and three other Raiders finished in double figures
scoringas well:
Bryanna Raff had 12 points,
Syd'Nee Fryer had 11, and
Kenadee Honaker chipped in 11 points.
Up next for the Lions is a road game against the Warriors at Corban University on January
10th.
