Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period Dec. 22, 2019-Jan. 5, 2020.
Women’s Basketball – Player
Corban University’s Jordan Woodvine was named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, her second honor of the year.
A 5-foot-11 senior forward from Salem, Ore., Woodvine had a stellar weekend for the Warriors, helping lift Corban to its first sweep of the College of Idaho/Eastern Oregon University road series since 2011. Woodvine averaged 20 PPG and 6.7 RPG, and currently ranks second in the CCC in scoring with just under 19 PPG.

Men’s Basketball – Player
Walla Walla University’s KiAndre Gaddy was named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
The 6-foot-5 freshman forward from Dallas, Tex., registered his 10th double-double of the season to secure back-to-back conference wins for WWU for the first time since the 2016-17 season. Gaddy scored 29 points against The Evergreen State College, which is one shy of his career-high. His defense helped guide the Wolves to holding the Geoducks to their fewest points in the history between the two teams. He finished the week with 27.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game.

Men’s Wrestling – Wrestler
Corban University’s Levi Perry was named the Red Lion Men’s Wrestler of the Week, his third honor of the season.
Perry, the seventh-ranked 174-pound wrestler from Kuna, Ida., continued his sparkling season at this weekend's Menlo Tournament, claiming the individual title at 174-pounds for his fourth tournament championship of the year. The junior has only lost once in 2019-20, and cruised past his four opponents on Saturday with two wins via technical fall and two coming from major decisions.

Women’s Wrestling – Wrestler
Southern Oregon University’s Julissa Taitano was named the Red Lion Women’s Wrestler of the Week.
Taitano, a sophomore 136-pound grappler from San Jose, Calif., placed second at the Menlo Invitational, helping the Raiders beat top-ranked Menlo in the points race and finish second in the team standings to Simon Fraser. She won two bouts by decision and pinned another opponent in one minute, 19 seconds.
