The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Players of the Week for their performances during the period Nov. 23-29, 2020.
Women’s Basketball - Player
Lewis-Clark State College’s Jansen Edmiston was selected as the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Edmiston, a 5-foot-9 senior guard from Hermiston, Ore., helped the Warriors split their opening weekend, averaging 13.5 points per game over two games. She scored 17 points in LC State’s 75-66 win to open the season, going 7-for-12 from the floor, including a 3-for-6 performance from beyond the arc. Edmiston finished the week with a .500 field goal percentage.
Men’s Basketball - Player
College of Idaho’s Jalen Galloway was selected as the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Galloway, a 6-foot-7 junior forward from Meridian, Idaho, led the No. 8-ranked Coyotes to a 79-70 victory over Montana Tech to open the season. He scored 24 points in 31 minutes, grabbing five rebounds and assisting once. Galloway finished with a .727 field goal percentage on 8-for-11 shooting, including a perfect 4-for-4 performance from three-point range.
