Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Players of the Week Announced

CORVALLIS, Ore. The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Players of the Week for their performances during the period Dec 7-13, 2020.
 
Women’s Basketball - Player
Lewis-Clark State College’s Kiara Burlage was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
Burlage, a six-foot senior forward, had a record-setting performance on Saturday, setting the LC State single-game record for made free throws with 18. In the process, the Columbia Falls, Mont., native drained a program-record 13 consecutive foul shots without a miss. Her 19 attempts are tied for fourth in a single game. She totaled 34 points in the contest which is a career high and sits just outside the top 10 in points in a game for LC State. On Friday, Burlage totaled 14 points and led the team with nine rebounds.
 

 
Men’s Basketball - Player
College of Idaho’s Jalen Galloway was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this year.
 
The six-foot-seven junior forward recorded his second and third-straight double-digit scoring game vs. Division I schools, including a season-high nine rebounds at Eastern Washington. Galloway, a Meridian, Idaho, native, finished the week averaging 12.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He also added two assists and had a steal on the week.
