Under Armour Team of the Week Announced
CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Montana State University-Northern men’s wrestling team has been selected as the “Under Armour Team of the Week” for December 14-20 the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
The15th-ranked Lights traveled from Havre, Montana to Seward, Nebraska taking part in Concordia University duals. MSUN did not disappoint as multiple lineups won four duals on the day and departed the Cornhusker State with a stellar 4-0 record.
The Lights downed Morningside (Iowa) 26-18, and narrowly defeated No. 13 Doane (Nebraska) 23-21. MSUN also topped Concordia 41-3 and Oklahoma Wesleyan 47-6.
Lights wrestlers to go undefeated were: 125 pounds, Kaleb Frank, 3-0; 133, Nick Kunz, 2-0; 149, Connor Harris, 1-0; 184, Carl Hansen, 2-0; 197, Isaac Bartel, 4-0; and 285, Rylan Moldenhauer, 2-0.
Kunz and Bartel are ranked #1 in their respective weight classes nationally.
