Warner Pacific Defeats Geoducks 79-75
The Evergreen State College men's basketball team fell to Warner Pacific 79-75 Friday night in Olympia.
The Knights came out and scored the first basket in the second half to take the lead. Evergreen came back and tied the game at 42 but WPU used a 17-3 run to take a 13-point lead with 11:17 left in the game. The Geoducks came back and took the lead after LaBrandon Price hit a two with 4:25 left but the Knights would tie the game at 73 and then take the lead and the win.
Evergreen was led by LaBrandon Price, who had 23 points, Elijah Fuller recorded 15 points. Price led on the rebounds with seven.
The Knights were led by Kadeem Strickland and Miles Brown, who both had 24 points. KJ Bosco and Morris Bethea led on the rebounds with seven.
Evergreen shot 45.9 percent from the floor to the Knights 51.7 percent. The Geoducks recorded six steals to the 11 turnovers by WPU.
Evergreen is back at home for the last time this season for Senior Night. The Geoducks will face Multnomah at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Evergreen will celebrate seniors Desmond Hudson, Gloire Biongo, Raven Frazier, Mana Niu and Elijah Fuller before the game.
