Menlo’s Orozco Named CCC Men’s Wrestler of the Year

CORVALLIS, Ore. – For the second year in a row, Menlo College’s Anthony Orozco was named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Wrestler of the Year, announced Wednesday.
 
The senior 184-pound grappler from Murrieta, Calif., became a two-time NAIA Champion after successfully defending his title just four days ago. Orozco also won the 2020 CCC Championship at 184 pounds, becoming a three-time conference champion and helping the Oaks win the team championship for the second time.
 
This year, Orozco boasted a 35-4 record and took first at multiple events, including the Menlo Open and the Missouri Valley Invitational. He also took fourth at the elite Reno Tournament of Champions event.
 
The accounting major is a three-time CCC Academic All-Conference honoree, a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete and a two-time Arthur Ashe Junior Sports Scholar winner.
 
Orozco finishes his collegiate career holding 11 Menlo College Wrestling records and as a four-time NAIA All-American.
