The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period Feb. 24 – March 1, 2020.
 
Men’s Basketball – Player
Oregon Tech’s Garret Albrecht was named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
The six-foot-nine junior forward from Redmond, Ore., scored a career-high 24 points on Wednesday night to lead No. 8 ranked Oregon Tech (25-6) to an 87-83 victory over Northwest Christian University in the Cascade Conference Tournament Quarterfinals, presented by U.S. Bank. Albrecht followed that with a double-double on Saturday night, leading the Owls past No.7 Southern Oregon University to advance to the CCC Tournament Championship. He finished the week averaging 17.5 points per game on 81.3-percent shooting.

Women’s Basketball – Player
Southern Oregon University’s Dominique Harding was named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, her second award of the season.
 
The five-foot-nine sophomore guard from Reno, Nev., helped the Raiders advance to the CCC Tournament Championship by defeating Warner Pacific University 60-54 in the quarterfinals and 25th-ranked Eastern Oregon University 76-69 in the semifinals. In the CCC quarterfinals vs. WPU, Harding scored eight of her 22 points in the fourth quarter as the Raiders erased an eight-point deficit. In the semifinals at EOU, she scored 10 of her 14 in the fourth quarter as SOU overcame a 10-point deficit to secure an automatic national tournament berth. She finished the week averaging 18.0 points per game on 54.2-percent shooting, while also grabbing 6.5 boards per game.

Women’s Wrestling – Wrestler
Menlo College’s Precious Bell was named the Red Lion Women’s Wrestler of the Week.
 
The 170-pound senior from Lancaster, Calif., did no surrender a point in her 3-0 path to a CCC Championship on Sunday in Ashland, Ore. Bell, the top-ranked wrestler at 170 pounds, remains undefeated on the season and helped the No. 2 Oaks to the first-ever CCC team championship. Bell was named the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler for her efforts and looks to defend her NAIA championships at Nationals in two weeks.

Baseball – Pitcher
UBC’s Barry Caine was named the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
The six-foot-one senior pitcher from Surrey, B.C., Canada, capped off a UBC sweep of Oregon Tech with an impressive start. He struck out 11 Owls batters in seven innings of work, in which he surrendered just one run. It was his first start of the season; his other five appearances have come in relief. UBC improved to 6-2 in NAIA West play and 10-6 overall.

Baseball – Player
Lewis-Clark State’s Jack Johnson was named the Red Lion Baseball Player of the Week.
 
The six-foot-two senior infielder from Seattle had another monster week, hitting .529 with two home runs and six RBI. He slugged 1.118, even better than his performance last week where he slugged an even 1.000. He scored six runs and stole a bag, and has stretched his hitting streak to 16 games (every game so far this season).
 
Softball – Pitcher
Corban University’s Ally Crakes was named the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week.
 
The five-foot-six junior pitcher from San Diego, Calif., dominated in both of her outings over the weekend, throwing a pair of complete-games and walking away with two wins. Tossed a no-hitter in the series finale, striking out six and finishing one BB shy of a perfect game. She is just the fourth Warrior to accomplish the feat.

Softball – Player
College of Idaho’s Kylie Smith was named the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week.
 
The five-foot-three junior second baseman from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, went 6-for-12 with a double, triple and nine RBI in the series win at No. 8 Oregon Tech, which included the Yotes’ first-ever run-rule win at OIT and their first road sweep of the Owls since 2009. Smith had a go-ahead sixth inning, three-run double in the third game of the series to help the Yotes to a 6-5 win. She finished the week batting .500 with two runs scored and a .750 slugging percentage.
