The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period March 2-8, 2020.
 
Baseball – Pitcher
UBC’s Jared Spearing was named the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
The five-foot-nine junior from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, struck out an impressive 14 batters in just six innings of work against Corban University. He was one short of tying the school record for strikeouts in a game (15) held by Jeff Francis and Niall Windeler. Spearing gave up just four hits and did not surrender a run as UBC won.

Baseball – Player
College of Idaho’s Matthew Clay was named the Red Lion Baseball Player of the Week.
 
The five-foot-10 senior outfielder from Port Moody, British Columbia, Canada, led the Yotes to a non-conference series win over Park University. He went 7-for-16 at the plate for a .438 batting average, with two runs scored and two batted in. He also drew a walk and was a perfect 2-for-2 in stolen base attempts. Clay finished the four-game series slugging 56.3-percent.

Softball – Pitcher
College of Idaho’s Hannah McNerney was named the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week, her second honor of the season.
 
The five-foot-11 sophomore pitcher from Hood River, Ore., picked up two wins over Northwest University, throwing a total of 14 innings. She threw a career-high eight innings in the Yotes’ 4-3 victory over the Eagles and finished the week with 10 strikeouts.
 
Softball – Player
Oregon Tech’s Krista Ward was named the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week.
 
The five-foot-seven freshman from Vacaville, Calif., hit an impressive .643 over the weekend with three home runs and eight RBI. She finished the week with nine hits, boasting a 1.357 slugging percentage, and two drawn walks. Ward also picked up two wins in the circle leading the Owls to a weekend sweep on the road at Carroll College.
 
Honorable mention: Olivia Mackey, SOU
 
Men’s Golf – Golfer
Corban University’s Kasey Crossland was named the Red Lion Men’s Golfer of the Week.
 
The senior from Buhl, Idaho, finished just six strokes off the pace of the individual medalist at the OIT Spring Invite. He was also the second-highest finisher from a CCC institution, posting scores of 79, 78 and 73.
 
Women’s Golf – Golfer
Corban University’s Delainey Patterson was named the Red Lion Women’s Golfer of the Week.
 
The sophomore from Vancouver, Wash., posted her second top-five finish of the season and was tied for the second-highest finisher among CCC participants. Patterson posted identical round scores of 81 to take fifth.
