College of Idaho's Blaine Named HoopDirt.com NAIA Coach of the Year
BOSTON – College of Idaho men’s basketball coach Colby Blaine was honored today as the HoopDirt.com NAIA Coach of the Year, presented by Just Play Solutions.
HoopDirt.com is the largest website in the country dedicated specifically to college basketball coaching news, jobs and rumors at all levels. It is the fifth year that the website has honored a Coach of the Year at the NAIA level – comprising both the Division I and Division II.
Blaine led the Coyotes to a 31-3 record – including a perfect 20-0 record in the Cascade Conference – culminating with their third-straight CCC Tournament title. C of I was ranked No. 1 in the final NAIA Division II Top-25 Coaches Poll and was the top seed in the NAIA Division II National Championships, before play was halted prior to C of I’s second-round match-up.
In two seasons as head coach, Blaine has amassed a 62-9 overall record and will take a 25-game win streak into the 2020-21 season.
