CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Thursday its renewed partnership with PrestoSports for streaming services for the next five years.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with PrestoSports for our streaming services,” stated CCC commissioner Robert Cashell. “With the ability to have our fans go to a single location for viewing conference content, as well as providing multiple options through the over-the-top (OTT) platform, we hope to make the experience as seamless as possible.”
The CCC and PrestoSports agreed to a five-year commitment, allowing CCC and PrestoSports to partner long-term as they advance the streaming experience for fans.
“PrestoSports is thrilled to partner with the CCC as their official streaming partner,” said Keith Womack, President of PrestoSports. “Having supported 10 of the CCC schools with streaming, we're looking forward to expanding this partnership to the other athletic programs as well as their championships.”
Ten out of the 16 full member CCC institutions also use PrestoSports for their athletic streaming needs. When one of those schools streams an athletic event, it is also streamed on the CCC network. The CCC championships will also be streamed on the CCC network for fans to follow their favorite teams in the postseason.
As part of the deal, StretchCast is included, which allows the CCC to enhance the fan's streaming experience with features like picture-in-picture, instant replay, motion graphics, pre-recorded content playback, and the ability to stream to the CCC conference network as well as platforms like Facebook Live and Twitch.
An OTT app has also been built for the CCC, allowing fans to easily stream CCC events on their mobile device. OTT bypasses cable, broadcast, and satellite television platforms, the companies that traditionally act as a controller or distributor of such content.
