The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Players of the Week for their performances during the period Jan. 4-10, 2021.
Women’s Basketball - Player
Lewis-Clark State College’s Sara Muehlhausen was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Muehlhausen, six-foot-three sophomore post from Hayden, Ida., had the best game of her career on Saturday in a non-conference contest against the College of Idaho. She posted a career-high 14 points to go with six rebounds, a block and a steal. She shot 5-for-8 from the field and was 4-for-5 from the free-throw line.
Men’s Basketball - Player
Lewis-Clark State College’s Trystan Bradley was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Bradley, a six-foot-eight senior forward from Lewiston, Ida., had an impressive week, helping the Warriors play five games in seven days. He started the week tying his career-high with 27 points against a strong William Jessup team. On Wednesday, Bradley scored a career-best 30 points and netted five three-pointers. He continued his strong play with a combined 29 points against No. 5 Arizona Christian University, including nine three-pointers. Bradley scored 16 points in the win victory over Park-Gilbert on Sunday.
Men’s Wrestling - Wrestler
Arizona Christian University’s Andrew Torres was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Men’s Wrestler of the Week.
Torres, a sophomore 165-pound grappler from Phoenix, won the 165 title at the Hasting’s Open on Saturday. He grabbed the championship victory with a sudden victory over Concordia University (Nebraska)’s Gabriel Crawford.
