Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Players of the Week Announced

CORVALLIS, Ore. The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Players of the Week for their performances during the period Jan. 18-24, 2021.
 
Women’s Basketball - Player
Lewis-Clark State College’s Kiara Burlage was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this year.
 
Burlage, a six-foot senior forward from Columbia Falls, Mont., led the Warriors – who are receiving votes in the national poll – in scoring in both games against NCAA DII Seattle Pacific. She was efficient from the floor as well as from the free throw line.


 
Men’s Basketball - Player
No. 4-ranked LC State’s Trystan Bradley was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season.
 
Bradley, a six-foot-eight senior forward from Lewiston, Ida., helped the Warriors to two wins over a greatly improved Yellowstone Christian team. He notched a double-double in game one (23 points, 10 rebounds) and scored the 1,000th point of his career in the process. Bradley became the 16th Warrior to do so and now has 1,011 points in his career.


 
Men’s Wrestling - Wrestler
No. 20-ranked MSU-Northern’s Chase Short was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Men’s Wrestler of the Week.
 
Short, the No. 19-ranked 174-pound senior grappler from Great Falls, Mont., had a solid weekend for the Lights, going 4-0. He posted a major decision (14-5) over the University of Providence's Bridger Hall. The next day, he had three-straight technical falls to help MSUN go 3-0 on the day.
