GLENEDEN BEACH, Ore. – Competing in its first three-round tournament of the fall, the Corban University women's golf team placed second among a trio of Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) programs at this week's Coastal Collegiate Classic, hosted by the Warriors at the Salishan Golf Links.
RESULTS
Delainey Rez was Corban's team medalist, continuing her consistent and steady start to the 2021-22 campaign with a 26-over 242 (80, 83, 79), good for fourth overall.
Right behind her was Kristin Senatra, who bounced back from an uncharacteristic 87 (+15) on Sunday with strong 81-stroke efforts (+9) in rounds two and three, climbing all the way to No. 5 on the leaderboard.
Kelly Dunn signed rounds of 82 (+10), 83 (+11), and 91 (+19) to tie for sixth individually, while Samantha Massie—the fifth member of Corban's top five—placed 16th with her 90-over 306 (105, 105, 96).
Golfing as an individual, Haley May entered the clubhouse with a round-one 87 (+15), 99 (+27), and 95 (+23), landing her in 13th overall.
Oregon Tech won the team title at the event, further padding its resume as the No. 21-ranked team in the NAIA. The course was challenging, and unpredictable weather only served to add more obstacles to the tournament's field of participants.
Corban has just one more tournament slated for the 2021 portion of its schedule, traveling to the Bushnell Fall Invite on October 17-18 for the final event of its fall slate.
